Going down tamely in the first set, Cicolari/Menegatti fought backstrongly to stay within 10-8 early in the second before pulling itback at 10-all, but the Brazilian tandem ran off six of the nextseven points to make it 16-11 and went on to seal their firstchampionship in the Olympic Stadium at the Chaoyang Park. "I am very, very happy, because now I changed my mentality, I havevery bad memories here in Beijing," said Juliana, who had failed tomake the women's top 16 with Larissa in the inaugural Beijing GrandSlam last year. "Our trip to China is perfect like this, some good results, ofcourse we don't have the gold medal, but bronze is perfect as wellthis moment here, and last year we won gold in China as well, itjust keeps coming back," said Keizer, who was crowned with VanIersel at the Shanghai Jinshan Open last year. Trailing 20-19 in the second set, Holtwick/Semmler beat off fourmatch points to overtake the lead at 24-23 and went on to clinchthe set 26-24 and force the tiebreaker, but the Dutch women cameback strongly to seal the victory in 55 minutes. "This team played very well, and it's hard to play against them,it's hot in there," Keizer added. "We just make our side-outs,fight very hard and that works out."
