Life is not always easy and it will challenge you until the day is done, this is something we all know from experience. Chadwick Blackwell has found the number one thing that has kept him going is his strong, unyielding Christian faith. Without his faith, Chadwick Blackwell says “The worst parts of the day would end up being my entire life and that is something I just couldn’t live with; when those moments happen, I simply look to God.” It was not always so easy to turn his fears and worries over to God, but Chadwick Blackwell decided to take time to reassess his life and what he wanted out of it. It was only after this reassessment that he discovered the full potential of life if he was willing to offer his time and energy into spreading the Christian faith. Now, Chadwick Blackwell attends church weekly as well as church events as often as possible. Chadwick Blackwell says if life is not going your way, all you need to do is turn yourself over to God and trust his plan for you. The destination is guaranteed, so we need to only focus on our journey and making it a good one bent on helping others. Chadwick Blackwell’s main advice in following the Christian faith is to allow room for prayer, “ask and you shall receive.” By voicing your wants for a more fulfilling, spiritual life, God is better able to grant your needs. Blessings do come in strange packages sometimes, however if you have faith that there is a reason for everything the goodness of life will shine through. With life becoming more uncertain and tragedies happening unfortunately more often, Chadwick Blackwell says this is the most important time to have faith. He says that without faith, everything seems cruel and unusual when in fact it is trying to tell us something and guide our spiritual growth. There is a lesson in everything and if you aren’t able to see the lesson, Chadwick Blackwell advises praying on it and in time, you will see the light. Another good way to grow in your faith, according to Chadwick Blackwell, is to discuss your beliefs with others, whether they are of the same faith or not. You can learn a lot from looking through different lenses of religion to see the overlapping themes of love, respect, and giving that they all share!
