The Higgs particle, which may have just been discovered, may solve a great mystery regarding the circumstances of the origins of the universe. Scientists announced in the largest research centers in the world the discovery of a new particle is believed to be close to the material particle known as the "Higgs boson", which is believed to be the real progenitor that is providing all the materials in the universe with mass. Said Rolf Heuer, director of the European Center for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Switzerland, "We have discovered the missing cornerstone in the physical material, and are closing in on perhaps the last great discovery and contributor to the Standard Model of particle physics." Heuer added that the article is a substance discovered "boson" but pointed out that it is not a "Higgs boson," adding, "We have discovered, and noticed that the new particle consistent with the Higgs boson particle." John Omersla, Executive Director of the British Council of Science and Technology facilities at a conference in London, added, "I can confirm that a fundamental though heavy particle has been discovered in accordance with the theory of the Higgs boson." Joe Ankandela, a spokesman for one of two teams participating in the Higgs research in front of a gathering in the European laboratory for molecular physics near Geneva, cautiously added his two cents: "This is a preliminary result, but we believe it is very strong and very cohesive.” The Scottish physicist "Peter Higgs," had predicted in 1964 the existence of the particle "Higgs boson", who is believed that the basic material in the universe may be estranged when the Big Bang from the rest of massless particles. According to scientists, the force of gravity is the first thing that broke away from the "boson" – followed by the rest of the forces. In fact, this is why the Higgs particle is often dubbed the God particle by particle physicists; it is basically the creator of all other particles insofar as endowing them with mass. The researchers pointed out that this new discovery would explain the origin of the mass of material, which could re-write many of the equations and theories concerning the science of weights and blocks. The announcement was big news in the conference in the Swiss capital, Geneva, after reports of achieving scientists for a new discovery was reached at the European Organization for Nuclear Research. The particle "Higgs boson" may very well be the missing link in a series of assumptions that are reshaping understanding of the origins of the universe we thought we understood for more than 13 billion years, scientists say.
