Though there are several synonyms to etiquette, I would like to highlight the following ones decorum and propriety . These two plainly highlight and embody what etiquette is. Decorum means good behavior and good manners. It speaks of dignity and a sense of what is becoming or appropriate for a person of good upbringing and keeping in good taste . Propriety means respectfulness, decency and the existence of good decorum. It implies well-established conventions of morals and once again keeping in good taste.
