Our earth is altogether full of ups and downs. Wherever one looks, things are never consistently similar. There is white and there is black; the smooth on one side and the rough on the other side. The phenomenon of change still perpetuates the dissimilarities in the polarities of forces in the world. Circumstances have given us the rough ends of the pineapple, here in Gwalior India. We are disadvantaged children and women all around: people who are disabled and destitute children, homeless women and the aged. We are people that are financially incapable to gain access to good education; health services, social amenities among others. With these pitiful conditions; we strive to continue in our existence though the government may disregard such persistence. Our hope is inherent in the faith that “It will not be rough all day.” In our mouths we have the tongues surrounded by our tooth; in our bodies we have flaps of flesh covering the osseous frame of our structures. Our lands are not all muddy and swampy; we have rocky and stony parts too. In our activities of Yoga the muscles may stretch and get painful but from these; our mental alertness is nursed. From all these natural occurrences our belief is strengthened that Life is not a straight narrow path. Things are bound to change. Sometimes things can be wobbled, zigzag and tactically askew. We are here at the Snehalaya having the belief that tough times never last for change will prevail. Rough conditions may look continuous but change will bring a correction. We have the hope that it will not be rough all day long. There will be a time that today will be a yesterday and our problems will go on a perpetual holiday. Our hope is resolutely hinged on you. We have the assurance that with you, our sun will shine out bright. We at the Gwalior Children Charity (GCC) know that there are people like the kind Dr Sharma (the founder of GCC) who ready to join him in giving us a life worth living. We know you are there, ready to contribute to our future. We need money; we need bricks for shelter and volunteers to work in our general hospital, eye centre, physiotherapy centre, dental centre, mobile hospital, rural health centers, schools and Orphanages including our own "Snehalaya” meaning the home with love.
