Urdu is the national language of Pakistan and considered as most important language of central Asia. You will be pleased to hear that more than 460 million people throughout the world are Urdu Speakers and day by day their population is increasing. This language is very easy to speak and learn. It is the permanent source of pleasure for all. Today we will cover some important fact of Urdu. Read it carefully and try to keep them in mind. 1. Dialects of Urdu Dialect means “the usage or vocabulary that is characteristic of a specific group of people”. They are four in numbers: • Dakhini (local language of Deccan and spoken in Maharashtra and some parts of Hyderabad) • Pinjari • Rekhta (Used in Urdu Poetry and in novels) • Khariboli or Modern Vernacular (spoken in Delhi, Lucknow, Karachi and Lahore) 2. Genders In Urdu language there are two Types of genders: • Masculine • Feminine Masculine includes all males and feminine includes all females. 3. Official Language Urdu is the National language of Pakistan and in some states of India like Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, and the national capital, Delhi. It is widely spoken in all over the Sub continent. 4. Words Order in Urdu Language Urdu has same structure as English but their order is different like in English sentences first comes subject then verb and in last there is an object whereas in Urdu first there is a Subject, then there comes object and in the last there is verb. This structure is only for small sentences, if the sentence grown bigger or complicated then its order may be changed again. 5. Language of civility In Urdu language there is a complete set of respectable words, if you have to call an elder person then you use “app” to call him/her and for junior we use “tum”, where as in English we used there is no distinguish between elder and smaller. It is also a very soft language and is called the language of heart. 6. Language of Literature As all of you may b familiar with the Great Empire of Muslims in South Asia. They all are Urdu speakers and approximately for 2 centuries Urdu language remains the ruling language of the Mughal era. 7. Language of Poetry Urdu language has its value in the field of poetry, if you look in the past then you will found that most of renowned writers are Urdu speakers and they earn fame only due to huge grip on Urdu language. These all facts had proved that Urdu is one of the most Interesting and honorable language. It is also called as zinda o javed language because it is the language that will never destroy or ended.
