For those that have thought long and hard about what post undergraduate education they want, a full-time MBA program may be the decision that makes the most sense. With the right amount of work experience and an MBA from a good college, many new and exciting employment opportunities will be available. One of the most important decisions to make at this point will be what program will be the best fit. Finding the best full-time MBA business schools is not just about looking at the rankings of top schools though. The decision should also be made after learning the differences between all the programs that are available. Areas of Focus Just like in an undergraduate program with majors and minors, MBA programs offer areas of focus. These can range from corporate to non-profit. Many school rankings are dependent on these areas of focus. If you are looking to study more corporate business strategies and perspectives, going to a school to specialize in small business teachings will not be beneficial to you. Also, even after you have decided to be a part of the full-time program, some schools offer accelerated programs as well that are more intensive but allow you to complete your course load in a shorter time. These aspects all weigh on the ranks of various MBA schools. Size A major classification in the best full-time MBA business schools is the general size of the programs being ranked. Larger colleges with larger business schools are in their own ranking, while smaller schools are in their own ranking as well. This may be something that you will want to look at. Larger schools will have more donor money, which equates to newer facilities and larger staff. This will also result in a less personal experience. Smaller schools will definitely give you a closer relationship with the staff and other students, but the facilities may not be as new and up to date. The Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver has always taken a bigger, broader approach to business, and taught our students accordingly. (http://daniels.du.edu/)
