In the first place, there is no universal or standard wedding dress; everything is subject to individual choice and designer specifications. Like any other industry, design is centered on creativity and innovation bearing in minds the intended market. According to the English Dictionary, (2013) a wedding dress is the attire that a bride usually dresses in on her wedding day, mostly white in color. Indeed most wedding dresses or bridal gowns in 2013 were white in color, which has been the norm for many a generation – white is usually related to purity and sincerity. For a wedding to be considered as a success there is a significant amount of preparation that the parties have to contend with. One has to focus on the expenses that range from hiring the dress (for some), others prefer to buy so as to use it as a long term symbolism for future anniversaries. Additionally, a complete wedding contingent must have bride maids, which automatically becomes part of the expenses. Other expenses range from the wedding venue, transport and other additional costs. In principal, the concept of the wedding dress, inevitably embraces other subsidiary expenses. Theoretically, the concept of the http://www.tidebuy.com/c/Lace-Wedding-Dresses-3581/ or bridal gown is viewed on each individual context due to underlying factors such as financial status of the wedding couple and general expectations of the society. In most societies, there is a sense of competition – it is viewed as a source of prestige. In some circumstances, weddings are held as a way of fulfilling a mandate, for instance, it may be a requirement for a foreign party to be granted citizenship. Sometimes couples may settle for low cost or hired bridal attire in order to conserve money to sustain them after the wedding – life has to continue beyond the wedding ceremony. Ultimately, those of better financial status are more likely to afford quality attire than those of the lower class. According to Ma, (2006) the quality of wedding attire is consistent with the status of the bride. Brides that reside in an urban set up, turn to have a better taste for modern fashion trends as compared to those that are rural based. There can be a variety of explanations associated with the scenario, but, the most fundamental factors are the financial status and the exposure to modern fashion styles. Due to cultural diversity, the wedding dresses are usually associated with the original cultural dressing code. Some societies are becoming more influenced by the western dress code because of migration and Globalization – societal norms are being superseded by the host culture. As a way of rounding off the discussion, the 2013 wedding dresses have been a subject of mixed fortunes. In some cases, poor fiscal performance has led to other people viewing the Bridal Attire as a luxury while those areas with economic boom, wedding dresses commanded a considerable amount of attention.
