Have you considered Counter RCIED system? Counter RCIED What is RCIED? This stands for Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Device. The term Improvised Explosive Device came from the British Army in the 1970s, after the provisional Irish Republican Army used bombs made from agricultural fertilizer to make effective remote-controlled bombs. RCIED is therefore a bomb fabricated in an improvised manner incorporating destructive, lethal, noxious chemicals designed to destroy or incapacitate personnel or vehicles. The trigger for an RCIED is controlled by a radio link, and it is constructed in a manner whereby the receiver is connected to an electrical firing circuit and the transmitter operated by the perpetrator at a distance. Radio remote controlled products are found in various sectors including trade centres, car shops and other specialised shops. These may include uses in garage door systems, radio controlled toys, car alarm systems, etc. in other words, this is simply a homemade bomb constructed and used in ways other than in military action. It may be used also in terrorist activities or in unconventional warfare by militias or rebels in their operations. It therefore goes without saying that RCIEDs are made to destroy and the result of this is and can never be positive in any way. This has necessitated the invention of Counter RCIED systems, which are used basically to counter or curb the threats and destructions caused by RCIEDs. This would mean that for a system to be effective in countering an RCIED there has to be mechanisms which are able to detect and successfully aid in disarming the explosive devices. This may also include the use of jamming systems that can be used to interfere with the signals used in RCIED. This in turn gives more time for experts to disarm the explosive device. Counter RCIED systems have the capability of suppressing recent and future threats that may emanate from terrorists or other illegal groups using RCIEDs. The use of RCIEDs has given substantive negotiating power to illegal gangs which would otherwise have no place in society if only they were not in possession of these dangerous devices. Given that it is only the one planting the device who knows the specific spot that the explosive is planted, and the only one holding its detonator, it has become almost impossible to yield to the demands of such terrorist groups. Such activities have impacted negatively in the economies of many countries especially in those that depend largely on activities such as tourism in boosting their economic growth. All this can only lead to one conclusion; that RCIEDs have to be stopped sooner or later if armies in different countries are to have say when they engage in wars, either inside or outside their territories. For an effective solution for this problem to be found, the top leadership of different countries needs to come together and most importantly, incorporate experts in the area of electrical technology who best understand the genesis, the growth of Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Devices and Counter RCIED. It is only by getting to know the beginning of such that we will be able to successfully come up with measures to counter the same.
