Odds for Novak Djokovic to win US Open: 2.5 – 2.81 Juan Martin Del Potro The 2009 US Open champion will be back on his beloved hard courts after a good performance at Wimbledon. The Argentinian has ways to trouble any player. A strong first serve coupled with flat, powerful groundstrokes have already brought him success on these courts. Some bookies have placed him above Nadal in the favourites list, and no one can blame them. If he stays 100% fit, he may go all the way and clinch the title. Odds for Juan Martin Delpotro to win US Open: 6 – 13 Serena Williams Serena Williams had and impeccable clay season with a 31 matches win-streak. The tennis diva will want to put the Wimbledon disappointment behind and win her 17th Grand Slam title on home soil. The Roland Garros final was followed by a shocking second round defeat at Wimbledon. The early loss was so disappointing that Sharapova parted company with Thomas Högstedt and appointed Jimmy Connors as her new coach. Many fans think this is a risky move, but we’ll have to wait and see the Russian in action before making any conclusions.
