Clipping Path (CP) is an essential tool for professional image editing. The main use of CP is to eliminate any particular image background and replace it with another. Though it takes a lot of skills to obtain the desired perfection. Today I’m going to discuss 5 easy steps on how to make a Photoshop Clipping Path - First Step: At first, identify an area of the photo to do the clipping by drawing a line around the whole image area. Select the lasso or, pen tool from the Photoshop tool bar. Second step: Now, select ‘Window’ from the Photoshop menu bar and click ‘Paths’. It will open the paths palette. Then click the pull-out menu and select ‘make work path’ now select appropriate tolerance ( a higher tolerance numbers refers to more detail and lower numbers means less detail). Click OK Then Save Path and finally type a name for the path in the dialog box and click save it by clicking OK. Third step: Exhibit the Path pull-out menu and choose Clipping Path. Set the options to Path. Now save the path. If the flatness value left blank, Photoshop will automatically use a default value. A little flatness value means the superior the number of straight lines used to draw the curve and as a result the more accurate the curve. Flatness values should be a range from 8 to 10 for high resolution printing and for low resolution printing, set the flatness to three is recommended. Fourth step: At this point convert the file to the correct color mode if needed. It is advised to use CMYK color mode if the image file will be printed using process colors. Fifth step: Choose the desired file format. For printing save the file as EPS, DCS or PDF file format. For non-PostScript printing save the file as TIFF. Select "Save As" . Now choose the appropriate format and type a name in the field "File Name". Finally Click "Save. At the present time Clipping Path has become a very common practice and it is a very essential Photoshop tool for quality image editing.
