The Prince of Wales Theatre is a great west end theatre situated in the Coventry Street. The theatre is close to Leicester Square (Westminster) in London. The theatre was established by actor-manager Edgar Bruce and was planned Charles J. Phipps. It inaugurated on 18th January 1884 and was a simple building that could hold 1000 audiences at a time. It was named the Prince's Theatre during the opening but was given its present name two years after. Bruce preferred the spot nearby Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square to make sure that its hall remains crowded since final days. The latest made theatre was named on Edward VII and opened with great show The Palace of Truth that featured popular theatre artist of the time, W.S. Gilbert. The theatre saw huge fame for the first time after staging the opera Dorothy that experienced a record breaking run here. Its creator Henry Leslie earned so much money that he used it to made his own theater which is known as Lyric. From 1891 to 1897, it hosted premiere of the two shows L'Enfant Prodigue and A Pierrot's Life invented here. Next the achievement of these two, many other similar show organized here. Following five decades since Bruce made the first theater at the present place, the size of the construction was felt inadequate for helpful the rising throng of theater lovers in Britain. The residence was flattened totally. In 1937 a new house was planned by Robert Cromie that could accommodate 1100 audiences at the time with additional facilities for viewers. The phase of the theatre was bigger than the earlier ones with stylish and contemporary bars and dance floor. The Prince of Wales Theatre London was again redesigned in 2004 to extend its seating capacity to 1,160. It brought some more contemporary facilities containing stylish bars, a new auditorium. When the theatre re-inaugurated on 16th April 2004, Mamma Mia, ABBA musical, was moved here from the Prince Edward Theatre London. The place observed immense success while organizing acts of the musical and after managing various landmarks here, it was afterward transferred to the Novello Theatre where it is presently staging. These days, it is staging performances of the Book of Mormon an award winning classic. The musical was debuted this March and has received good remarkable response from the audiences. The show has been imagined by fashionable animated sitcoms, Trey Parker and Matt Stones. Featuring songs like Tomorrow Is a Latter Day, Spooky Mormon Hell Dream, All American Prophet, I Am Africa and Baptize Me, the show takes you on a tour to Uganda (South Africa).
