Rudraprayag - A little pilgrim city on the sacred confluence of stream Alaknanda and Mandakini, which is venerated as one of the five sacred confluences, or the 'Panch Prayag'. Rudraprayag It is known as after Rudra, an element of Master Shiva. According to a tale Master Shiva showed up here as 'Rudra' to bless Narad Muni. The everlasting fire, around which the wedding was solemnised, still burns here. Panch Kedar : The 'Panch' or five Kedar lie in the area between the waterways Bhagirathi and Alaknanda. According to a legendary tale, after the fight of Mahabharta, the Pandavas repented the murders of their relatives.
