Food is more likely to absorb the minerals and taste from the metals of pans, pots and other cookware sets. Even when the food is cold, some containers can easily add their effect on it. But when it comes to cook and store food in aluminum container, it is quite difficult to measure the quantity. The longer you cook and store your food in the container, the more the aluminum will enter into your food. Tomatoes and green leafy vegetables and various acidic food items are more likely to absorb aluminum.

Plastic: When you cook food on plastic and microwave it, the reactivity on your beverages and food will increase. Rather than plastic, get your food microwave on ceramic and glass containers.

Better Metal Choices Stainless Steel: Though it contains nickel, iron and chromium, this is still a better alternative. Irrespective of the popular belief, stainless steel isn’t an inert material completely. Metal can leach higher, once a minor scratch is made on the container. So, it’s recommended to look only for high-quality and heavy duty container.

Silicon: Made of natural element bonded silicon, silicone is no more than a synthetic rubber that is just abundant to rock, sand and oxygen. Cookware made up of silicone is stain-resistant, non stick and safe even at the high temperature of 220 Degree Celsius.

Cast Iron: When it comes to buy cookware online, you can also go for cast iron. When you cook food in its container, it is less likely to provide health risks. However, this metal is quite heavy.
