Doctors are able to diagnose these disorders in women by running evaluations. These will include being asked questions, but it will also include a psychiatric test. The physical test is meant to ensure that the woman is not suffering from some type of physical illness, which is what could be causing the anxiety symptoms to occur. The psychiatric test will be to determine the exact mental illness that the woman is suffering from and how severe it is.
