Choosing washroom accessories to compliment your washroom aesthetics whilst keeping the products funtional can be a tricky and time consuming task. There are many different styles of accessories all available manufactured from different materials such as plastic, stainless steel, chrome plated, and white coated steel. Plastic products will help keep your costs down but will not offer much in the way of vandal resistance and durability. White coated steel products offer a more durable product but may not last too long in a damp environment before they start to corrode and the paint start to peel off. Chrome plated products give more visual impact but will take more time to clean and if the chrome plating is of a poor quality may also start to rust. Stainless steel accessories are generaly a lit bit more expensive but give you a robust product that should last you the lifetime of your bathroom or wash room. Soap dispensers come in a variety of different shapes and sizes with a choice of how they are operated. A simple push button operation to dispense the soap is quite often more than adequate, but in instances where hygiene and infection control are paramount then an infra red sensor operated soap dispenser may be required. An important factor when choosing your soap dispenser would be the type and thickness of soap you will be using. Make sure the viscosity of the soap matches up the the viscosity range of the soap dispenser you will be using. Paper towel dispensers also come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Most are designed to fit both standard c fold and multi fold paper towels with the choice being how many the dispenser will hold. These can also be surface mounted, recessed into the wall or combined in one unit with a waste bin. Hand dryers are an alternative option to paper towel dispensers. There are arguments for and against the use of hand dryers, some saying they are unhygienic and can spread aerosol infection, and others saying they are more economical and less wasteful than paper towel dispensers. Toilet roll holders are an important product for any toilet area, they also come in a wide variety of sizes and styles. An important consideration will be how often you will need to replenish the toilet rolls. In a low use toilet area single roll holders will be adequate, but in a high use area you may want to consider double or triple roll holders, or jumbo toilet roll holders.
