Buying expensive gifts, exhilarating parties or having influential position in the society has been used as bait for attracting women. Most of the times, this bait may work in the start; however you may not be able to hold your date's attention for long.
Materialistic pleasures can get you a date however; you may not be able to sustain your date for long. In west, influential men or good-looking men tend to get a date easily. They are more like magnets; women get attracted to their wealth, fame, money and power. Dating scenario is Singapore is no different. The only catch is Singapore's economy. Singapore has booming economy and is full of affluent people. If you are planning to showcase your material wealth to grab your date's attention then you may be in trouble.

She should enjoy your company and should look up to you. Be genuine and honest with your date. Stick to your ideals and values. Do not let the glimmer of money outshine your values. Remember to make her feel special. Appreciate her and compliment her naturally. Do not forget to use lighthearted humor to make her smile. Your confidence, humor and social behavior will attract your date and she might start liking your company.
Focusing on materialistic pleasures to gain your date's acceptance will only bring in disappointment. If your date was with your for materialistic benefits, she will walk over you for somebody with better money, better position or better status. Avoid the heartbreak and win your date by being yourself instead of winning her with money. Remember, competing materialistically can be tough in Singapore.
