Proper ways and Tools in Cleaning Windows

Home Improvement
The windows on your home are the structure in your house that is absorbing dirt from outside because they are the only opening that is providing your home protection from dirt and heat. They can never avoid being dirty after a week of cleaning them. Many people wanted their windows muster IN to be clean because it makes their homes to look better and newer.

We know that you cannot afford or it is unwise to call for windows cleaning professionals for cleaning your windows because it is simply unpractical particularly if you have only few windows on your house, in this article we would present you the proper ways and tools you need for cleaning your windows.

Equipment used for cleaning window
In everything that we do, it is important to have the appropriate tool for working with confidence, without it, there would be difficulty in applying the procedures of cleaning or working. Same as with cleaning of windows, proper equipment would allow you to clean you windows without worrying about the quality.
• Bucket – right bucket is a bucket that has enough space to fit the squeegee and the mop within. The bucket would contain the soap you need for cleaning your window
• Squeegee – most crucial tool for cleaning a window, it dries the window by putting pressure on the window glass by applying pressure to the rubber side of it. When you are looking for a squeegee, make sure that it has a rubber handle to avoid slipping while drying the window.
• Mop – use for washing the windows. Without it, squeegee is useless. This is used to scrub off tough marks. It comes in a removable head to allow cleaning of its head after the cleaning is done.
• Scraper – it is useful for removing tough marks off such as paints, varnish or stubborn insect marks. Most professionals used this tool to remove paint stains. Be careful when using it because it may provide permanent damage to glass windows. Scratches from scraper are really scary, because the simple scratch may turn into disaster when it occurs.

Use the right Cleaner
We recommend you to use professional window cleaning chemical over your own “window cleaning solution” that is made up of detergent soap, dishwashing soap or whatever combination you made from laundry soap. Using the wrong mixture of these chemical when cleaning a specific type of glass surfaces may give your glass scratches or cloud glass that may lead to glass frosting effect that also may hurt windows caulking, paint and window frames.

When you are looking for the right soap, make sure to look for a soap that is:
• Non-abrasive
• Environmental friendly
• No solvents
• Ammonia or alkali
• Designed with naturalized PH for window glass surfaces

Chemical Compounds in professional window cleaner contains soap and nothing more. The window cleaning is not about the soap, it is the proper method of cleaning. The professional window cleaning soap has low suds or soap bubbles. The professional cleaner do not “bleed” which means the combination of your soap and the leached oil in vinyl frames causes bleeding effect even after you have squeegee the dried glass.

Procedures in cleaning window
1. Fill the bucket with warm water and add small amount of your preferred solution. Make the water lukewarm for it to remove the unwanted sticky dirt that is residing on your windows.
2. Remove any widescreens that are attached against the windows. If you don’t remove the window screen, the dust that is within it would return back into your clean window. Also, you may have difficulty cleaning if these screens are around. If you wanted to clean these screens, remove them from the windows, and rub them or clean them using running water coming from a hose.
3. Remove any residue from the windows using an old cloth or broom. Cow webs and build up dirt are present on the edges of the window.
4. Clean the window frame using a damp cloth.
5. Using the mop or the washer, start cleaning the window from the upper-left corner and drag it straight down. Make sure to carefully mop the glass because the glass is vulnerable to damage from the mop and excessive rubbing.
6. Squeegee the soap that is built upon the glass surface. Dry the blades of squeegee after each stroke you made to avoid repeating yourself over and over again.
7. Dry your window frame using dry rag. Avoid touching the window because it would make you go over and over again.
