The EB5 program
The EB5 program for foreign businesses (to shift to the US) is still very popular and the recent one has been extended for the next three years. The program is sure to get extended like this time and again due to its huge popularity. There are reasons for that. Any ordinary visa program would mean profit for the person or business owner trying to acquire it. However, the process is erroneous and people often don’t manage to get in the first chance. However, with this RC program (EB5 Regional Center Pilot Program) both the business owners as well as the citizens in the US are benefited. And so, the government understanding the profit, which it could bring to the economy, started it under the Immigration Act 1990. The basic norms that the business has to provide helps the US government a lot with the economy. According to this immigration law, the person willing to extent his/her business to the continent must be investing a capital sum of $ 1 million or at least $ 5, 00,000 (if the regional center is rural or has less employment opportunities). The investment has to be made either for a new enterprise altogether or it can be an extension of the existing business, but needs to be independent and has something different in the concept. This was started by the Congress way back in the 1990 and it was for improving the US economy and create more job opportunities for the citizens. The business shifting to the US needs to create at least 10 employment opportunities. This excludes the immediate family or any other associate of the business owner and is meant solely for the citizens there. The EB5 Investment Visa is then acquired, after the successful passing of these two conditions by the applicant. There may be chances of you as a business owner to spend more than the $ 1 million sum and that may go up to $ 3 million. However, this hasn’t taken place till now. It can be that the regional center for which you are applying, may be densely populated or be one of the busiest metropolitan in the US. With the concept of this EB5 Investment, the government has made millions of economic profit since the last 10 years and more than thousands of employment opportunities were given to its citizens. It is also advantageous as an enterprise, franchise opportunity or any other business to invest for Regional Centers, since most of them have not so much options than to manage from the main business that is, they are overseas. This EB5 Green Card doesn’t require the businesses to be present there always physically. Moreover, having a business base in the US means more profit and exposure for you. You get to expand your business concept to a wider and in an area where it will get boosted. However, you may meet with certain confusion and we advise you to take legal aid for that.
