Why is content important online? It is the reason that people are searching the web. There are lots of things going on around the globe. New news is constantly popping to the top and people are looking for good content. What is good content? Good content is in the eye of the beholder. You have an audience online. You have to know that audience and you have to connect with it. What are the things that are important for them? Just throwing content online is probably not going to work well. Good content goes beyond not making grammar mistakes. Sharing information that is helpful might get you higher marks with your audience. They might even forgive you for a few misspelled words, if the content is good and engaging. Writing content for the web means that you have to consider the attention span of your audience. They might not want to read super long paragraphs. Break that content up into smaller more readable chunks. It is the same information, you are just putting it in an easier form to consume. Your content can be created faster when you make sure that you are organized. Just thinking about all the topics that you want to cover and writing them down puts you ahead of the game. You can hope from one topic to another and just fill in the blanks. Take the complex topics and break them down. Is the topic too big and broad for an online blog post? Instead of making it one blog post, create a series. You can go cover the topic and spread it out over multiple articles. If the first post is good, they might come back to read the rest. Should you write your articles with reckless abandon? When you are putting that masterpiece together, let the words pour out like water through a waterhose. Keep it flowing and don't worry about making sure everything is perfect. You want to transfer those ideas from your head to the page or the computer screen. Once you have fully jumped on the topic and hit it from every angle with everything that you have got, you can step away for a few minutes and let the new content simmer. Come back with some fresh eyes and see what you have to work with. Reading your new work might still contain a few defects. Take the final step and read the content aloud. You will wonder how some of those mistakes slipped through when you were reading it to yourself in your head. plagiarism checking
