Its design even inspired the design of the Taj Mahal. 4>India Gate: While in Delhi you cannot miss the India Gate. It is a war memorial built in memory of the Indian soldiers who lost their lives fighting for the British Army in World War I. As evening creeps in, families and tourists crowd at the India Gate. In recent times, people protesting against corruption and crime against women in the capital had staged their protests at India Gate. Chandni Chowk: Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi is one of the oldest and busiest markets in the country. Other places to visit in Delhi are Qutub Minar, the Lotus Temple, Dilli Haat and Connaught Place.
