I've found through trial and error that the best way for me to finish my e-book writing projects is to just make myself write in concentrated bursts, for no more than one hour at a time. This helps me overcome that dreaded "Writer's Block" and helps me finish what I start. You can plan to write all you want. But when it comes to act of writing, you must plant your pants in your writing chair and write. Focusing your creative muse with single-minded purpose will lead you to finish your e-book projects on schedule. You cannot publish until you write. Simply by committing that I will indeed spend just one hour a day writing, I've almost magically found the time to research, write, edit, format and publish Kindle e-books that make money. Follow these four simple tips and you'll find your writing time more productive and more enjoyable too. It's not that I found more free time to write. Nobody has free time. It's actually a matter of prioritizing your time so you'll use it more efficiently. One hour is easy to find in your daily routine. It doesn't even need to be 60 consecutive minutes; if you need to write 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes at night, then write 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes at night. Just be sure you show up to write. I believe anyone, anywhere can duplicate what I can do. My advice? Pick a mental keyword or symbol that will help 'kickstart' your writing. Got it? OK: When the clock tells you it's time to write, then picture that image, word, symbol or phrase. Hear the crack of the lightning. Feel the imaginary pinch. Right then and there, do it; launch yourself into writing at that moment. At the same time every day. Make time for your writing. Put it in your list of things to do. Enter it into your Google Calendar. Write it on your appointment calendar. It's that important to your long-term publishing success. Create your own writing space that works to help you keep writing. Avoid distractions like checking your email, following trending topics on social media, or fielding phone calls. Allow no interruptions while you are writing. You can put your life on pause when you are investing in your business. Do whatever it takes. If you struggle with finding time to write, make changes in your daily routine: Wake up earlier. Stay awake longer at night. If it's important for you to publish your work on time, you'll find the time to write. I love this quote: "There's never enough time to do it right, but there's always enough time to do it over." It's not like you can have a 'Do Over' for the time you've missed writing. And, no, you don't reap immediate rewards from writing today. Instead, you'll get paid over and over again in the future. The difference between an entrepreneur and a worker is that an entrepreneur is willing to wait to collect his paycheck. By creating and self-publishing e-books that people want to buy, you'll be stocking the shelves for years of future sales by devoting just one hour per day to publish yet another money-generating e-book. The process I recommend is to divide each e-book project into 4 simple steps: 1. Research -- Find the e-books readers want to buy. 2. Writing & Editing -- Write fast, edit slow. But do both. 3. Formatting & Publishing -- Follow formatting rules. Publish on time. Fix errors you find before readers find them. 4. Promotion -- Get the word out every chance you get to attract readers' reviews and drive new traffic to your e-book sales page description. Only then can the successful Indie Publisher 'rinse and repeat' the process to create a brand new, profitable e-book every month and create a home-based publishing business that almost runs on autopilot. creative writing essay paper
