4 Tips to Plan a Budget Wedding

Business
So you're engaged, congratulations, it has been a long time coming. The day you've dreamed about will soon be upon you. It's time to plan it to perfection, so that it becomes the most memorable day of your life. We understand your need to be frugal; after all, family life has its own expenses. However, your wedding comes but once in a lifetime. There's no need to worry, we're here to help you find a balance between these two extremes. We'll help you plan your wedding, so it becomes the grandest affair in your life, without going over budget. So, let's get started.

There's a Time and Place for Everything

Setting the right wedding date is half the battle won. Most weddings take place in spring, but winter isn't a bad season to get married either. The magic of Christmas is around you and pure white snow is falling from the sky. What could be more beautiful? Get married in the first week of December and then jet off to a warmer climate for your honeymoon. The money you save by not having a spring wedding can help pay for the honeymoon. Booking a venue, months in advance will also fetch you cheaper rates.

Keep it Low-Key

A wedding is supposed to be an intimate affair, so only invite immediate friends and family. There's no need to invite anyone out of courtesy, they should be your guests, not your father's or mother's. Having a small guest list, where you know each and everyone personally, is far better than a large group of strangers staring at you during your vows. As a host, you'll be able to provide better quality food and drink to your guests, if the arrangement is small. You'll still end up saving money after splurging on these things.

There's No Need to be Formal

With the rise in budget weddings, a new culture has risen to prominence. This is the culture of casual weddings. Couples are opting for more informal settings than the traditional ones. You might have heard of celebrities getting married on the beach. If it's good enough for them, then it's certainly good enough for us. It definitely beats spending a fortune on a hotel venue and it's much closer to Mother Nature for all you environmentalists. Couples have also been known to celebrate their weddings by having a fun little picnic in the park.

Flower Child

Flowers are merely for decoration, but sometimes brides go too far with them. Trying to match the flowers to your bridesmaid's dresses is juvenile. There's no need to special order flowers either, once the wedding is over, they'll end up as expensive litter. Go for a simple arrangement of white roses that are pleasing to the eyes and not too expensive. Keep a moderate budget for flowers. You don't want to fill the venue with them and divert attention from your wedding. Hire a florist well in advance and listen to his expertise, even if it somewhat contradicts with your plans.

Remember, the wedding is supposed to be about you and your special one, don't let things like decorations get in the way. Spending too much money on a single day is foolish, especially when it can be useful to you in the future.

Flowers are an integral part of weddings and their absence can be spotted a mile away. Funky Bunches provide bouquets that capture people's attention in a heartbeat. Visit their website funkybunches.com.au for more information.
