Pediatric pulmonology deals with the science and treatment practices of kids diagnosed with respiratory and lungs diseases including asthma, common cold, lung cancer, apnea, wheezing, reactive airway disease, Respiratory Syncytial Virus Infection, pneumonia, bronchitis, cystic fibrosis, tuberculosis, recurring infection problems, and other miscellaneous problems. This branch of medical involves diagnosis and treatment of newborn(s), infants and growing kids who once struck by any of such diseases may lose confidence in themselves, their lives, and even die in the absence of proper medical care and follow-ups. According to the data collected from IAP and the Advisory Committee on Vaccines and Immunization Practices, influenza infections claim around 10+% of all ARIs (Acute Respiratory Infections), with the influenza virus accounting for around 14.5+% of ARI episodes.
