How to find inspiration when you really need it

Business,Female Entrepreneurs,Small Business
You know how you always get the best ideas when you’re taking a shower? Or are on holiday?

Inspiration hits when you least expect it.

But how do you find it when you actually need it?

When you’re looking for input for your newsletter, a new service, a marketing launch or a title for your next program?

Or when you need to solve a problem and you really see no way out?

These 3 tips help you turn on the inspiration whenever you need it:

Tip #1: Relax & ask

When you feel like you NEED inspiration right now, you put so much pressure on it that the flow of ideas stops. You’re getting in the way, baby icon smile How to find inspiration when you really need it

Here’s what you do:

Take a couple of deep breaths. Close your eyes. Connect to your intuition, the universe, higher self, source, or whatever you want to call it.

Ask it to bring you ideas, and to help you stay OPEN to receive them.

Then, take a piece of paper. And write down ANYTHING that comes to mind. Do a brain dump. Write for 20 minutes.

In the middle of everything that pours out, a golden idea might just present itself.

Tip #2: Brainstorm lousy ideas

Usually when we brainstorm we try to come up with good ideas. Don’t.

This too can put the pressure on the process.

Focus on finding lousy, crappy, bad ideas instead.

Ask yourself questions like these:

How can I make this situation or problem worse? What are 15 subjects my readers will NOT be interested in reading about at all? What’s the worst title I can come up with for this program? What are 25 ways to scare potential clients away forever? How can I make sure NO one wants to sign up for my program? Make a list of 13 things that will prevent anyone from signing up.

Tip #3: Time Travel

Imagine a moment in time when your problem is solved, you have written your newsletter or came up with a great title for your new program.

Close your eyes, and see yourself after you’ve accomplished whatever it was that you’re trying to find inspiration for.

Imagine that you sit in a comfortable room with this future self. Interview yourself.

Ask your future self questions like:

How did you solve this? How did you come up with the solution or idea? What did you do? Do you have any tips for me? What do I need to focus on first? Who can help or inspire me? Write down the answers you get.

Don’t worry if this is real or weird or stupid, or if you’re making this all up.

It doesn’t matter. It’s just a different approach to get access to ideas and inspiration.

This week’s transformational action:

Need inspiration? Read through these tips again, and use one (or more) of them.

And remember this:

Inspiration is all around you, like air. And oxygen. And energy. And abundance.

It’s just there. Always. You don’t have to find it. All you have to do is open yourself up to it.

When you’re stressed out, panicking, pushing for an answer or trying to force something, you are actually blocking the flow.

Relax. Breath. Slow down.

Remind yourself that whatever you need is right under your nose right here, right now.

It will come to you, if you let it.
