All courier, express and parcel (CEP) businesses are facing a tough competition in the business where the ones succeeding are mainly due to their adaptive pricing, solid risk management strategies and by providing great service. The courier services in Abu Dhabi is facing an impressive growth phase after recovering from the downfall caused due to the economic crisis. The volume of products being couriered has increased by 3 percent while the revenue increased by 13 percent. As the multinational fields are giving a tough fight to the local courier services in Abu Dhabi, these enterprises are undergoing structural changes to survive in this field. As most of the customers try to consolidate shipments, to reduce their expense, cost-saving opportunities were found to the best way to attract them. Many of the courier service providers working at lower yields were able to provide the service at low cost thus capturing a considerable amount of field share. These markets are working on attractive offers to mainly retain their regular customers who give them assured business as well as attract new customers. Recently, one of the famous courier and Logistics enterprise has decided to set up and expand its business in Abu Dhabi. This expansion was done owing to the 25 percent growth in shipment over the past six months from the UAE capital. A 17 percent annual growth in the express and logistics market is witnessed and is valued at AED 39.5 billion. As they have diversified into different industries including finance, banking and publishing they have been receiving humungous support from the government sector. To stay in the commerce despite the threat posed by the competitors, the courier service in UAE is evolving to meet the customer needs through various ways. “Bullet service” is a service which assures the customers of their parcel being delivered within the mentioned time period. For example it would take only three hours to send the courier between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Special service named “Feelings” gives the opportunity to customers to order or send chocolates, gifts, flowers etc to their loved ones. A study was launched to analyse the present and future scenario of the courier services in Abu Dhabi. It was inferred that different sectors like garment manufacturing drives the express courier system, which implies that the courier service trade would benefit greatly if there is a huge growth in the textile industry. Steady growth of courier service will be attributed to banking sectors as original documents are still given preference ruling out the possibility of drift of courier services to electronic media.
