September 25th 2013 A Jamaican female artiste, Rashida Rose is appealing to the well-wishers for support in her debut music video project. Under the umbrella of a project dubbed “Muss Buss Project”, Rashida has been helping budding talent in Jamaica realize its potential. In a selfless gesture that is alien to many of us, She is appealing for funds, technical support, and advice – not for herself – but to help others who may never get an opportunity to enhance their talents. Jamaica is a country that brims with talent. However, due to lack of finances, many of these talented people end up in the drug trade. This ensures that an otherwise bright future is turned into a mediocre lifestyle. However, all is not lost; Rashida has a solution for all these young men. Producing music with her is a better alternative! Any untapped talent in a country is a waste of natural endowment. Rashida has decided to be different from the rest of the world that sees everything in a capitalistic eye. She wants to help. And help she has. All she wants now is for a little assistance so that what she started out may not become a white elephant. You can understand that with very few available opportunities, her project has seen an influx of young people. This is more than what she had planned for. With her every working hour dedicated to producing and composing music for these youngsters, she is left with no time to make money for funding the project. Intention to help the less fortunate is one thing, digging in and helping is another. Rashida has dug in and she needs your help. Are you going to look the other way? Helping each other is what makes us humans. The difference between the jungles and the human kind is the ability to tame our ambitions and lend a helping hand to those who may need it. Actually, success is making a positive impact in the life of other people. Do you want to be successful? Don’t you want to feel good about yourself? Rashida Rose has just presented you an avenue to become a conduit of making the world a better place for everybody. “Negativity is unnecessary... I do not see any real benefit to maintaining that position”, says Rashida and continues, “I AM holding my own...defending & maintaining my stance towards a better future.” These are some of the edicts Rashida lives with, and which has seen her through difficult times. Whatever you do, make sure you watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrEQsHQajUI, a 5 minutes video that helps you understand what Muss Buss Project™ is all about. “I have decided to do a project just to demonstrate my skills as a performing artiste and to encourage my listeners, to be at their best at what is inborn. I am not as established as I need to be, mostly because I spend my time investing in others. This means I do not get much financial benefits,” says Rashida. She continues to make a plea to all well-wishers, “Jamaica has so many talented people who needs a break but cannot afford to. While the corporate & entertainment society doesn't see the need to make an investment in fresh talent, personally I want to make my contribution towards making a better entertainment scene; while at the same time help the budding talent realize its full potential. Whatever help available – whether monetary or advice – will be welcome at Muss Buss Project.” Asked about her working with raw talent, Rashida had this to say, “I feel life in its natural stage is magnificently beautiful. Information on a track always Prevail”. Rashida Rose is a visual & performing artiste in Kingston Jamaica.
