Other popular names include GH Mumm, Piper Heidsieck, Taittinger, Lanson and Pommery. There are quite a few brands of sparkling wine made in India (only wines from the Champagne region in France can be given this term). While they are very far from having international standards, they are quite good. Their biggest advantage is that they are quite affordable and therefore suitable for frequent consumption. Sula Brut, Sula Brut Rose and Sula Seco are some of the most popular sparkling wines made in India. The liquor business in India is definitely showing an upswing since the growing middle class has aspirations to try out new experiences. People are also becoming more discerning these days and are unwilling to settle for something that does not suit their tastes. Whether it is vodka, champagne or tequila, Indians experiment with different brands of liquor until they are able to pick out the one that they truly enjoy.
