In every business, manufacturing forms an essential part of the production. It is always at the manufacturing unit in a factory where the raw materials are processed and is converted in to end use product so that the customer can use it properly. In a manufacturing plant a product undergoes various types of stages that includes designing, procurement of raw materials, fabrication, power coating and the final output of the product at the fabrication product. In each of these stages the product is modified and finally in the assembly stage the product is ready to be used. People who are working on the factory floor are the best persons who have a very good knowledge of the machines. They know exactly where the discrepancy or default lies. Whenever a manufacturing process audit is conducted, the auditor takes the opinion of these persons in to consideration also. Doing this audit not only points out the weak points in the manufacturing department of the organization but also gives the management an idea about the steps that can be taken to improve productivity. In order to survive in the competitive market, every other company is conducting manufacturing audit in order to find out its flaws and stay ahead of its competitors. Engineering parts are vital components in machineries and vehicles. If they do not work properly, then the whole purpose of manufacturing a vehicle goes in to vain. These parts are manufactured in a factory and are only released in the market after proper verification. In order to be sure that these parts do not have any kind of defects, the manufacturers of engineering parts conduct an audit frequently on their manufacturing unit. The auditor after doing a thorough analysis gives a presentation to the management of the organization and explains them the initiatives that are to be taken in order to improve the quality of the products.
