‘Civil Engineers’ have finally found a place for themselves in Canadian economy. The rising demands on urbanization and expanding cities have prompted NOC (National Occupational Classification) to enlist new jobs and occupations in the field of civil engineering. This is an opportunity, especially for engineers in India, to go ahead and make for a shining career ahead. As a Civil Engineer you are required to- Design and plan new projects under civil amenities Conceptualize new ideas and thoughts on new spaces on residence and commerce Undertake a feasibility test on project development Supervise activities and processes at a project Meet standards on construction quality and deadlines But, it is mandatory that you first ‘explore’ your potential on Canadian immigration. Civil Engineers immigration requirements in Canada are mostly an assessment of the ‘potential’ to contribute to the economy and immigration concerns. The requirements arise on following areas- 1. Nationality In view of the rising concerns on security and terrorism, the immigrants are supposed to pay a good attention to all the papers and documents. Papers are to be produced on identity, residence, passport, travel, education, work experience, finance and medical insurance. The Engineers are therefore supposed to provide every paper and certificate relating to their past employment and employer’s recommendations. 4. Language You are only as good at your workplace, as is your ability to communicate. CIC requires an immigrant to have a CLB Level-7 to authenticate his or her abilities on reading, writing, listening and speaking. The Engineers are therefore supposed to provide the IELTS certificate to gain maximum points on immigration. 5. Finance CIC would want to become sure of one thing, that you have all the funds to supplement your expenses during the early stages on immigration. This makes it imperative for you to provide all the papers on your source of income, returns and bank. 6. Insurance Insurance is invariably an important element on immigration. The cost on health treatment and medicine is exorbitant in Canada. The only feasible way is to get yourself insured, early hand. It is therefore recommended to get your insurance done and provide the papers along with the application form. 7. Declaration CIC does also require you to make a declaration on ‘supporting’ the financial needs of your family during the period on immigration. Civil Engineers immigration requirements in Canada are mostly complied, if you provide all the aforesaid papers along with the application form.
