Seamless Boiler Tubes can withstand high pressures and temperatures such as 650°C for long period of time. Seamless Boiler Tubes are produced through the process of extrusion and rotary piercing. - Extrusion- It begins by heating the stock material for hot extrusion and then loading it into a container in the press. A dummy block is then placed behind the material to push it out of the die. Afterward, extrusion is stretched to straighten it. It can also be cold worked or heat treated. This process is mostly economical when producing between several tons and kilograms, depending on the material being extruded.
- Rotary Piercing- It is used to form thick walled Seamless Tubes & Pipes through hot working metal working process. Within this process, a heated cylindrical billet work piece is fed between two convex-tapered rollers that rotate in the same direction. The stress made by the rolls causes the center of the blank to break. Finally, a uniform inner diameter is formed by the rolls pushing the blank over the mandrel.
