Travel & Tourism
Germany is where beer, food, sausages, hiking, castles and parties can be found. If you want to experience how it is to stay there, visit Germany. Traveling in Germany is just a piece of cake especially to those people who love to travel a lot or have made traveling as their hobby. In Germany you will see different historic cities, amazing forests, cathedrals, castles and alps. Germans are perceived to be very serious compared to their European neighbors but they are the most pleasant and most caring people all over Europe. Germany is huge and provides a variety of offerings to its travelers at cheap prices.

What are the usual Prices?

Accommodation

Getting a place to stay while you are in Germany will not cost you a fortune because they are very affordable compared to other European countries. Hostels are priced at $15 to 25 a night while staying in a private room would cost you around $60, the same price if you go for budget hotels.

Outdoor vendors who are selling sausages and bratwurst would only charge you $3 to 4 a piece while sandwiches would cost you $5. If you prefer to eat inside fast food chains, prices usually start at $8. If you want to have a taste of their beer, a pint is $5. Standard German meal with beer would only cost around $15. If you prefer other cuisines like Turkish, Middle Eastern or Asian, they are affordably priced at $5. Going to the groceries to buy supplies good for 1 week would cost you $40 to 55.

Transportation

If you are in a hurry, taking high speed trains would cost you a fortune. Traveling from Berlin to Munich in high speed train would cost $135. Intercity trains are usually priced around $40 to $67 and that is just a second class ticket. If you want to travel cheap and you are not in a hurry, it is best to take the regional train or an overnight bus. Traveling in the city with the city transit system would only cost you $2 per ticket.

Activities

Prices vary depending on what activities you would love to do while you are in Germany. If you want to visit the museum, it would range from $1 to $13. Touring the city or countryside with bike or do a river cruise would cost $27 to $40. If you avail of any city tour, it would just be in between $13 to $27. Renting a bike is just $12 per day.

What are the different places to visit and things to do?

If you love the art and music, you should visit Berlin. It has an amazing historical background that every tourist wants to know. Visit the most expensive city of Germany – Munich. The city offers a lot of day trips that tourists would surely enjoy. You should be in Germany in October and join their Oktoberfest. It is the world’s largest 2-week beer festival.
