Beginners will have a tough time navigating through the river and hence trainers advise against indulging in this activity during the monsoons. The best months to go are September to November and April to May. This is usually the summer and winter months when the weather is pleasant and the rivers are safe for using rafts. The currents are in control and beginners as well as professionals can enjoy this activity without worrying whether the river would be safe and conducive for rafting. September to November is winter time and is extremely pleasant. The water is emerald green and hanging out at the beach in this amazing weather is a great way to thoroughly enjoy this activity. Since the weather is incredible, beginners and advanced adventure enthusiasts both will find this activity thrilling and exhilarating. Another interesting aspect about the winters is that the sun won’t play spoilsport. Many people find the sun too strong during the summers and find rafting a bit of a task, which is why winters are considered peak season for indulging in this activity. The weather is agreeable and safe as well. There are various places in India that are perfect for white water rafting. Rishikesh is the most famous place in the country to enjoy this activity. There are a number of camps organised by various companies around this area that offer this activity. The best part about Rishikesh is that it has different levels of rapids which act as the perfect site for both beginners as well as professionals, making it a complete family adventure. Ladakh is also another great option for rafting. Away from the busy city life, it is a perfect relaxation spot.
