The Golden State Warriors are one of the several teams in the western conference that made a huge improvement over the summer as the team signed Andre Iguodala who will help the team at both ends on the floor. He should be able to help shore up the weakness of the team that was being talked about in the previous. Here's a piece for a sports betting website wherein I wrote about it. Midseason Crisis for Golden State Warriors After a hot start the saw the team scorching different oppositions, from the better teams to the not-so better, the Golden State Warriors seems to be having what many men go through, the dreaded midlife crisis. The Warriors are suffering what can only be called the midseason. When some NBA analysts and experts, the likes of Sir Charles Barkley, pointed out that the team is a jump shooting team, in a word of warning kind of way, fans and other NBA followers disagreed. While the return of the Australian center Andrew Bogut does play a role in how the team is currently playing, as the big man gets acclimated on the offense, the current slump for the Warriors shows what could happen when they are not hitting their shots. While they were hitting long range shots consistently at a high rate for the most part of the season, I still think those percentages are going to go down as other teams become more aware of their threat and try to play them physically to take some of those smooth strokes away. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying the team is having a strong season just because of their hot shooting. The team makes plays that allow them to drive or results to easy jump shots. David Lee's hard work down low is a big contribution for them. However, if opposing teams clog the paint and if the Warriors don't make the perimeter shots, what's going to happen? Well, that is what's happening to the Warriors right now. When other teams realize that you are a real deal of a team, you can only expect them to play better against you. The midseason crisis for the Golden State Warriors is the result of teams trying to counter them. The only thing the Golden State Warriors can do now is to counter back. The team must learn to adapt. The good thing is that it doesn't seem to be going so hard. Having Bogut back means the team has a legitimate low post offensive player they can go to and make their plays revolve around to, allowing them inside-out. Let's just wait and see how Mark Jackson deals with this.
