Mark and Mindy met the old fashioned way. They were hanging out with their own individual friends at a bar one night when they noticed each other across the room. As the night got longer, and their glances became more frequent, with enough drinks in him to conjure up the nerves to introduce himself, Mark made his way over. Mark was a successful contractor who occasionally dated but spent more time hanging with his friends, co-workers, and family. Mindy was always in demand. She was one of the guys, easy to talk with, a huge sports fan, and of course, a former cheerleader. They talked that night about family, favorite teams, and careers. They arranged a date for the next week. After going out for four months, and becoming very close and getting comfortable with each other, Mark, who was not ready to move in together or propose, wanted to do something special.
