Land’s End makes one to experience like to reach at a dead end of land. Land’s End is set at an elevation of 2,120 meters above sea level offering superb views of neighboring hills and the green valley with rural houses, in order to reach Land’s End one can drive to Barapathar on a vehicle and then trek 1 km to the spot where one feels like the land has really come to an end. The main attraction of Land’s End is the beautiful view of the stagnant water of the Khurpatal. Trek from Nainital town to Land’s End through cliffs, slopes and at the dead end, enjoys pleasant views of the mountains surrounding Khurpatal.

Tiffin top

Tiffin top is situated 4km from Nainital set at an altitude of 2292, above the sea level on Ayarpatta hill commanding splendor views of the adjoining country side and the royal Himalayan range. The place also has a stonework perch known as Dorothy seat that was built in the memory of an English lady painter Dorothy Kellet by her husband
Tiffin Top is a picnic spot for a family enjoyment with impressive views of the Himalayas. Visitors can get to Tiffin Top or Dorothy’s Seat by enjoying a trek or on Pony.

Naina Peak

Naina Peak is situated at a magnificent altitude of 2615mts above sea level. The peak is the highest point of the town and is found 6km north to Mallital. Naina peak is also called as China peak and Cheena peak. China Peak is best place for walking and trekking in the green high altitude forest and enjoys the fresh air of the hill region. Naina peak offers refreshing views of the charming snow clad peaks of the great Himalayan range, the bird’s eye view of the immaculate Naini Lake and the Nanital town itself. In order to enjoy the celestial beauty of this point one must trek 6km by foot or can hire pony from Mallital or Snow view.

Hanuman Garhi.

Hanuman Garhi is situated to the south of Tallital. It was built by Neem Karoli Baba, a famous local saint in around 1950l. One can view the splendid sun set & valley view of the Tarai from here. Watching the sun gliding down the mountains is what makes the place the most fascinating. Especially worthwhile is visiting it during the Ramnavami and Hanuman Jayanti Festivals.The presiding divinity of Hanuman Garhi is Hanuman, a devotee of Lord Rama, who is portrayed in the image as opening his chest and revealing the images of Lord Ram and Sita Mata in his heart. Hanuman Garhi temple is also famous for its strategic location. It is situated at such a height and at such a site, from where the sunrises and sunsets are artistically visible, on the other side of the hill housing the temple are Shitala Devi temple and Ashram of Lila Sah Bapu.

Eco Cave

The Eco Cave Garden is a admired destination. Situated in Sukhtal or Mallital and is commonly known, on the Kaladungi road. It is naturally maintained park; this is a great place for children. You can make your visit to Nainital a memorable one with a trip to these gardens. The garden has six caves and a musical fountain operating during the best season. The gardens have a brilliant move toward getting kids interested in nature and take a liking to exploring things.
Different caves in Cave Garden is named as tiger cave, panther cave, bats cave, squirrel cave, flying fox cave and apes cave, some of them as narrow as one has to crawl. All caves are educational, joy full and adventurous. There is a beautifully designed hilltop garden which provides pleasing views of hill region of Nainital where you can relax at the peaceful destination.

Snow View Point

Snow view point offers the reviving view of snow clad peaks of the magnificent Himalayan range like Nanda Devi, Trishul and Nanda Kot. Snow View is the most easily reached cliff amongst other nearby mountains nearby nainital. The peak is coupled by motorable roads and aerial ropeway or cable car. The ropeway is opened for seven days a week from 10 am to 5 pm. The point has some restaurants, tea shops and even photographers to click your picture. Charges for cable car are Rs. 100 for adult and Rs. 60 for children.
A temple on snow view houses the images of Durga, Shiva, Sita, Rama, Lakshaman and Hanuman. On crossing Snow View one can visit a Tibetan monastery Gadhan Kunkyop Ling Gompa of the Gelukpa order.

Governor’s House

Governor’s house was constructed in 1889 and designed in the Victorian Gothic domestic style by the architect F.W. Stevens as the summer dwelling of the Governor of North West Province. At the moment, Raj Bhawan is the official guest house for the governor of Uttrakhand and for state guest stay. It is spread over an area of 200 acres, comprising of two- toried mansion with 113 rooms, a large garden, a swimming pool, and golf court as well. Earlier obtaining prior authorization was must for visit.

Aerial Ropeway- Cable Car

Nainital Ropeway is one of the main attractions of Nainital. The Aerial Ropeway begins at Mallitial and is allied with Snow view point situated at a spectacular elevation of 2275 meters above sea level. Snow View Point offers the magnificent views of puissant Himalayan range. It offers a panoramic view of the lake while ascending and a bird eye view of the flats while descending. Two trolleys carry passengers from the flatts to snow view point in about two and a half minutes of time. The capacity of the trolley is 11 persons or 800 kgs of weight. The trolley is opened for seven days a week from 10 am to 5 pm. Charges for adult is Rs. 100 and Rs. 60 for children.

Nainital Zoo

Nainital Zoo is one of the very well maintained Zoos in India. It is located in the hills of Sher ka Danda at about 1 km. from Tallital Bus Station at a height of 2100 meters above sea level and linked by motorable road. It is named as Bharat Ratna Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant High Altitude Zoo Nainital. Zoo consists of animals like Leopard, Hill Fox, Siberian Tiger, Palm Civet Cat, Wolf, Silver Pheasants, Barking Deer, Sambhar, Monkeys, Rose ringed Prakeet, Himalayan black bear, Ghoral, White peacock. Its objective is to conserve and protect the wildlife and maintain biodiversity of hilly region of Uttarakhand. The zoo is closed on Mondays and the entry ticket is Rs. 10.

Flatts

The Flatts is sited on the northern side of the Naina Lake where the statue of Goving Ballabh Pant is erect. The Flatts covers a large area touching the lake. The Flatts has a cemented playing ground which is generally used for cultural activities during festivals but you can see kids playing most of the time. The Flatts get crowded in the evening because of the chat bazaar and the famous Bhotia Market selling their varied and unique products. Flatts offers many activities and places to enjoy like Tibetan Market famous for clothes, accessries, and bags etc, Capitol cinema theatre, a Roller Skating rink. The heavenly Naina Devi Temple is situated on the Flatts along with a mosque and gurudwara.

Mall Road

Mall Road is was build during the British colonial rule, The Mall Road is the prime road that runs through the heart of the Nainital town parallel to the lake connecting the two ends of the town. The Mall road now named Govind Ballabh Pant Marg. With the cool gentle wind blowing across the lake through the road an evening stroll on the Mall, has its own appeal. The entry to the the roads in peak season is prohibited so as for the functioning of trade, as the Mall road is very famous point fotr tourists.

Naini Lake

Naini Lake is a natural freshwater lake, located amidst Nainital city of Uttarakhand. It is the most prominent lake in Nainital, ringed by hills. In Naini Lake option of boating through yachts, paddle boats and traditional rowing boats are available. The beauty of this lake is even more magnified during the night when its sparkling waters flirt with the numerous lights hanging on its edges, and lend it an unbelievably beautiful magical aura.

Naina Devi temple

Naina Devi located at the north of the Naini lake; this temple is dedicated to Maa Naina Devi, a manifestation of Goddess Durga. Naina Devi Temple is one of the ‘Shakti Peeths’ and an significant religious site of Hindu’s It is believed that this is the spot where Goddess Sati's left eye fell, when Vishnu chopped her body to stop Shiva's cosmic dance of destruction. Also located close to the temple is the Naina Devi cave. One can visit Naina Devi Temple round the year. During celestial occasions like Navratri, Shravan Mela and Chaitra Mela, Naina Devi temple is filled with devotees.

Nainital high Court

The Uttarakhand State was carved out from former State of Uttar Pradesh on 09/11/2000. At the time of the formation of the State, the High Court of Uttarakhand was also recognized on the same day at Nainital. Since that day the High Court is in operation in an old building positioned in Mallital Nainital which was known as old Secretariat. The structure of the High Court is a very glorious and was constructed in 1900 A.D. There is a park in front of the building and Naina Peak, the highest peak in Nainital, in the background, which makes the building more pictorial.
Hon'ble Mr. Justice Ashok A. Desai was the founder Chief Justice of the High Court who was transferred from High Court of Allahabad along with Hon'ble Mr. Justice P.C.Verma, the Senior Judge and Hon'ble Mr. Justice M.C.Jain.

Kilbury - Birding Spot

Kilbury is one of the India’s scenic and famous birding routes. Lined by lush oak, pine and rhododendron forests and with panoramic views of regal snow-capped peaks in the distance, Kilbury is wonderful to spend the day on your back doing nothing but lazily watching the clouds float by. You would also get to see the Brown Wood-Owls, Collared Grosbeaks, White-throated Laughing Thrushes, Forktails and many other birds. Kilbury is a renowned birding course; more than 580 species of birds have been recorded in this area. It resides on the edge of a reserve forest and for those keen of more contented lodgings than a picnic rug and a basket; there is also a forest bungalow.

Aries Astronomic Observe

Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences (ARIES) is one of the famous institute in the field of astronomical studies. Eminent as an Astronomical Observatory, ARIES is located at the 9 km before Naintal town on moving from Kathgodam . Observatory is open for public in order to show some astronomical gadgets in working day afternoons. Visitors are allowed in the observatory at four days during moonlight nights to watch extraterrestrial objects through the telescopes. These nights are fixed and visitors are permitted prior to permission.

The 50-year old State Observatory at Nainital was reincarnated on 22nd March 2004 as ARIES, an autonomous institute under the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. Historically. The Observatory came into existence at Varanasi on 20th April, 1954. The Observatory was later moved from the dust and haze of the plains to more transparent skies of Nainital in 1955, and to its present location in 1961 at an altitude of 1951m at Manora peak, a few km south of the Nainital town. ARIES is situated at quite and picturesque hills with interesting walks through its forest providing great views of Himalayas. The campus hosts rich variety of the Himalayan flora and fauna and occasional sightings of rare birds and wild life
