Starting a business is a risk but you might end up making it riskier by not paying attention to the marketing of the products that you are selling online. It is a world of marketing these days and that is the reason that even bollywood production houses are spending half of their budget on promotions. So you need not be laidback and start promoting your product aggressively. Online store is followed by online marketing. The cheapest and the most effective way of reaching out to your prospective customers is through mails. This is the best way to drive traffic to your website. The way you can plan this is detailed below:

Collect email ids- The first and the foremost step is to collect the email ids of the prospective customers. Be careful regarding the fact that you have collected your email ids from a database to which the customers have given their consent for publishing their email ids. You can get this done by expert agencies as well who offer customized packages for the same. Know what you want- You need to develop a clear picture of what your goal is, what is that you want to achieve in the end by staring your online business. Target the prospective customer- It is advisable to not waste your energy and time on people who would not even buy the product in the end. You should know that for a particular product who the most likely customer is. For eg, if you are selling party dresses, the target customer are the young girls. Attractive emails-Write the product promoting mails attractive so that it has the eye catching essence and people get tempted to click on it and end up visiting your website. Informative mails- The mail should be informative and should describe the product and deal well. Include colorful pictures and figures. Make the mail look like it has been personalized and you are talking to that particular person. It adds to the value of the email. Discounts and hot deals-Have the discounts and hot deals banner posted on your mail so that the prospective customer gets attracted to it and visits your website. Distribute newsletters- One way of promoting your website and products is sending regular newsletters to the target customers and updating them about what is new in your store. Above All, get a review published on online shopping review. You will get thousands of customers for your ecommerce store.
