The Titleist 913FD Fairway Wood is a great all-round fairway wood that not only performs strongly, but looks great too! This classic shaped fairway wood is proven to deliver excellent distance and performance. The 913FD delivers both speed and forgiveness with uncompromised looks, sound and feel. The SureFit technology allows for loft and lie to be independently adjusted so that your fairway woods are optimized to your requirements, ultimately helping to make you a better, more consistent player. It is really hard to hit it off the fairway due to its size, but I have not practiced hitting it much off the deck. Offering a more penetrating ball flight and lower spin rates than the best price 913F Fairway Wood, this golf club is ideal for golfers who want a top-quality fairway wood that will help prevent your ball ballooning. A personal favourite of 2013, this was arguably the best in testing! The SureFit Hosel Technology also made it possible to adjust the loft and lie to suit our games; let it do the same for yours. As for the F, the head shape and the way it sits are exquisite – but it is very compact, so to me it’s much more of a club for use off a tight fairway lie than a tee. Even the fitters had yet to see them – so they were just as excited as we were. The first thing to say about the fairway woods is that the 913 F.d, the deeper-faced model, now has much broader appeal than its predecessor. Like most long hitting low handicappers, I would expect to hit this new 3 wood 3-5 times per round off the tee and maybe 0-1 time per round tops on the fairway. “It’s now more of a second driver than a fairway wood. Put a ball on a tee and it’s a much different dynamic than off the turf. You want low spin but not so extreme that it is unhittable.” For past 20 years I usually have hit driver off the tee and rarely played conservative with the 3 wood due to distance drop. This club sure closes the distance gap between it and driver with improved accuracy. No too worried about fairway use, since I hit my Titleist 913HD Hybrid for sale 220-240 yds. This is a definitely a great club to consider for low handicappers looking to play a strong 3 wood off the tee. To my eye, the F.d is actually easier to use than the F, especially from the tee. The head is much bigger and much deeper. I suspect I’m not alone in thinking that. I didn’t find it hard to use at all – in fact quite the opposite. If you mainly use a fairway wood off the tee, the F.d might have more appeal. Source from: http://www.pfagraphics.co.uk/article-403-Hit-the-ball-longer-with-Titleist-913FD-Fairway-Wood.html
