Hello Ladies is an American comedy television series about a geeky guy who relocates to Los Angeles to find love. But will he find his one true love in this hip city...that's something to behold. Every Tuesday on HBO Defined. Hello Ladies: A series worth watching! You come home after a day of hard work and all you want at that moment is light entertainment that just makes your day. Well, search nowhere as the kind of stuff you want to watch is ‘Hello Ladies’. It’s a series about a geeky guy Stuart Pritchard aka Stephen Merchant who by profession is a web designer and lives in England. The series starts with Pritchard relocating to Los Angeles to find the love of his life. Nuh-uh...if you think that he has come to L.A. to chase his soul mate, then you’ve misinterpreted it. He comes to Los Angeles as he feels that he is going to find love in this city. The series is kind of funny as the protagonist is presented as a gawky guy who is completely out of place in the modern LA. Having said that, Stuart feels himself to be interesting and charming (which is obviously not the case). In fact, he is the one who makes himself a desperado in a room full of beautiful people. Now you can imagine how tough it is for him to find excitement and romance even in a hip city like LA. The only connection that he has to the entertainment world is through his roommate, Jessica (Christine Woods). Jessica happens to be a struggling actress who hates to be reminded that she’s in her 30’s. The weird thing is that both of them are desperate in a way. And in that case, it can be a little cringe worthy. The best part about this series is the melancholic aftermath when Stuart is awash with rejection and disappointment, driving his convertible old-school BMW all around the city at night, looking dejected and defeated. There the audience gets the real taste of Stephen Merchant. One of the interesting facts about this series is that this movie is starred, co-created and even co-directed by Stephen Merchant. Quite a task, ain’t it? And the fact that the series has already garnered 7.1 rating from IMDB is something. Also add to this the thing that ‘Hello Ladies’ is adapted from Stephan Merchant’s stand-up show of the same name. This show started in U.S. network in September 2013... a thing to rejoice for us Indians as this series is showcased by the famous English movie channel HBO... well not exactly HBO but the premium break-free channel, HBO Defined. TV buffs must have noted the word break-free in the previous line. So, it’s double fun...won’t you say so? And therefore, the thing that’s worth noting is that this show comes every Tuesday at 9pm.
