Miss out on the Air Jordan 5 Grape back in 2006? You"ll have another shot this year. Today from Jordan Brand, we get official images of the upcoming retro. Smooth white leather runs the base, with purple popping up on the midsole and tongue. Emerald green graces the branding, mesh marks the midfoot, and black highlights the lining and heel. They were only released in men sizes, which made a lot of people very upset. They feature a white upper with black, purple and green accents, which sounds very simple, but is marvelous in person. They also feature clear lace locks, nets on the side panels, and a clear outsole, which are all very nice touches.The visible air sole unit is a very nice addition as well. The green shark teeth catch your attention as they site in front of a purple base. The Air Jordan 5 is rumored to have been inspired by the World War II Mustang fighter plane, with the shark teeth being the most obvious feature. The Air Jordan 5 was the shoe worn by Michael Jordan during the 1990 season, and even though MJ never hit the floor in the “Grape” colorway, Air Jordan 5 Grapes Shoes For Sale is still widely popular because it was one of the few retro non-OG colorways we’ve ever seen on his feet. MJ was featured wearing them on the cover of the Air Jordan Flight Collection look-book from 1990 as well as the iconic Wheaties box. The main addition to the 2013 version is the icy blue outsole which gives the shoe some unique character. The Air Jordan series has primarily been defined by three colors: red, white and black. These bold colors have been spotted on fans worldwide, but originated from Michael Jordan’s feats on the hardwood. The Air Jordan V originally launched back in 1990 with the classic white, black and red color schemes, but also a “Grape” colorway that stood out from the crowd. Featuring white leather uppers with grape purple and emerald green details, the color combination worked well and made fans look outside the usual color palette. The Air Jordan 5 “Grape” colorway is coming back again.
