Though can choose your own dimension/ metric pair but yet there are restrictions that are imposed by Google and Google itself provide a list of different dimension/metric combinations that you can view on Google’s help page. While creating a custom report, also keep in mind what type of report you want to create. There are two report types, flat table and explorer, that you can use choose between while creating your custom report. Flat table is a more elaborative one than explorer as it allows analysis of two dimensions alongside each other and it also allows you to include 25 different metrics in the report whereas explorer is a simple report type in which you select metrics and drill down into them based on dimensions you have chosen.
