BEAULIEU, UNITED KINGDOM – May 18, 2012: Academy Awardwinning director Martin Scorsese is joining Lord Attenborough andAnthony Haas to produce the feature film drama SILVER GHOST. Theproject will be a co-production between Scorsese's SikeliaProductions and Zuma Productions. SILVER GHOST will tell the story of motoring pioneer Lord JohnDouglas-Scott Montagu of Beaulieu, his wife Cis and his secret loveaffair with his secretary and mistress, Eleanor Velasco Thornton.It also tells of John's connection and friendships withRolls-Royce founders Charles Rolls and Henry Royce and Britishartist and sculptor Charles Sykes. Eleanor was the inspiration forthe iconic Spirit of Ecstasy mascot, designed by Sykes, that tothis day adorns all Rolls-Royce cars.
