We know there is a plethora of social media networks on the Internet and each one has its own advantages. Utility Fleet, bringing its bucket truck expertise, has a presence on all the major social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), but today I want to focus on the growing social media phenomenon that is Google+. I wanted to dedicate this blog entry to our Google+ page and explain the benefits of following us and “adding us to your circles.” On Google+ each user creates their own circles, which are customized groups of the people you follow. When you create posts, you select the groups you want to share that post with, which allows for a great targeting strategy. For example, if Utility Fleet posted a bucket truck video, I may only share that with my Bucket Trucks group, as those are the individuals who have expressed interest in bucket trucks. This prevents a crowded news feed for those in my other circles. Communication: Social media is used not only for news/product updates, but also as a communication tool for our customers. Any general questions that customers have can be asked on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and now Google+, and we will answer each individual question. Want to hear about new product availability, subscribe to our newsletter, or have an inquiry about a specific product? Get all the latest information by connecting with our social media accounts. Of course, we also highly recommend contacting your personal Account Manager on their mobile phone, or calling our office at 866-411-5285. Google+ especially allows for personal, one-on-one communication. Google+ is still young, with a little over 100 million active monthly users, which is minimal compared to Facebook and Twitter. So if you’re looking to be a part of a social network that isn’t saturated with brands and 500 million other people, Google+ just might be the thing for you. Bock Mary is an associated editor of bucket trucks, which provides a huge inventory of digger derricks, and related equipment to the utility construction industry. It provides both new and remanufactured utility truck units across the USA.
