Helix Center Biotech Incubator,St. Louis County"s newest incubator for technology andscience companies, announced that AeroValve LLC, an energytechnology company, and DealieDo LLC, a software applicationcompany for personalized coupons and special offers, have joinedthe incubator program and secured office space in the new facilitylocated at 1100 Corporate Square Drive in St. Louis County (City ofCreve Coeur).

AeroValve LLC is commercializing a promising, energy-efficientpneumatic solenoid valve technology as a plug-and-play replacementfor standard directional control valves. There is already strongmarket interest in this new technology, which can reduce compressedair consumption by 20 percent, delivering significant energysavings to manufacturers. After current work on optimization anddesign is complete, the technology will be pilot tested in severalmanufacturing settings. Founded September 2011, AeroValve is a July2012 recipient of a National Science Foundation (NSF) Phase I SmallBusiness Innovation Research (SBIR) grant "The worldwide market for solenoid valves is a multibilliondollar opportunity, including $600 million just in the UnitedStates.

Its laboratory features include: fume hoods orsnorkels, hazardous materials storage cabinets, sinks and eye washstations, and select casework. A core lab operator is available forclient support and to manage shared lab equipment, including anautoclave, glass wash, ice machine, and water purification system.
