The holiday season is full of so many things. Foods that promote calmness during this hectic time include: • Nuts, which contain selenium that helps with anxiety and fatigue. • Spinach, which keeps the mind from overreacting. • Whole grain pasta, which is rich in magnesium to combat stress levels. • Blueberries are packed with antioxidants, which are highly effective in relieving stress. • Green tea has an amazing ability to ease the mind. Broccoli provides potassium, which can combat tiredness and stress. • Bananas, they will assist you in a stress-free day by reducing gas within your body. Adding in foods that will help your mood as well as whole foods that will help your body will help keep weight off, and help your stress levels. Let’s face it, it is very easy to overeat and indulge when we are stressed. It actually benefits your cortisol levels in your gut when you eat often throughout the day. It will prevent binges and keep you energized and balanced. I recommend eating 3 meals and 2-3 healthy snack throughout the day. But you are human, as am I, and you need additional help.
