Looking beautiful is something we all want, right? But it is so important to realize that in order to look beautiful, you have to FEEL beautiful. What I mean is this: when you put good things into your body, it will exude on the outside. And vice versa. If you put not-so-good things in your body, it will show what you don’t want on the outside. The first step toward change is recognizing, acknowledging, and accepting what is---then we are ready to take ourselves to the next level and move forward. Assessing is all about self-discovery, about taking a clear, honest look at your current situation and your true self in order to create a lasting, effective personal transformation plan. Your plan must align with who you are, if not, you will feel like you are doing rather than being. In other words, just going through the motions rather than living a healthy lifestyle that aligns with your unique personality. Let’s first look at things we may take for granted in having us look beautiful. First, your body, feeding your body with pure nutrition. Reducing chemicalized artificial junk food, caffeine, sugar, nicotine, and alcohol is so essential to inner and outer beauty. Next, your attitude, being positive even during stressful situations. “Serenity is not freedom from the storm, but peace within the storm.” Learn to be still, embrace the lessons you learn, and play in the pain, so to say. Next, the delicate balance of how you care for others vs. how you care for yourself. Are you providing yourself with a self-care routine and taking necessary breaks? You certainly don’t want stress to show on your face, so it is so important to actively have a self-care routine that nourishes who you are. It could simply just be taking a bath or reading a book. And last, your schedule. Let’s face it, if your schedule is not matching up with your core values, and it’s running you rather than you running it, then changing something is crucial. You are not only going to become burnt out, but feeling and looking beautiful will come second best. However, we live in a time where it’s not so easy to nourish our bodies with exactly what it needs. Because of the increasing amounts of toxins in our environment, our organs are overloaded and cannot keep up with the demand. Actively assisting your body in detox is a safe and healthy way to keep your body from experiencing a toxic build-up. Toxic build-up can cause many unpleasant things including weight gain and stress, which both are unsightly aspects we do not want to show case for the world to see. Also, your body is most likely deficient in one or more major vitamins or minerals. You need nutrients to maintain ideal weight and help your body function optimally, which in turn, will create beauty on the inside and outside. I’m not saying to be perfect. No-one, including myself, is perfect. You simply need easy to follow solutions you can incorporate in your daily routine to nourish your body which in turn will display beauty on the outside. Simple solutions like detoxing your body to rid harmful toxins. Doing this will create a freshness on the inside which in turn will flourish on the outside. Helping your body adjust to stress is also going to put your body back in balance. Stress really puts a toll on how you look and feel. Good nutrition will assist in controlling any cravings you may experience, nourish your body to help you get and stay healthy naturally, and ultimately, make you look and feel as beautiful as ever. Feeding your body good nutrition and providing balance within your system will most certainly not only create beauty on the inside, it will then magnify beauty on the outside.
