Bathrooms have also changed, becoming more luxurious. Instead of simply featuring a standard toilet and tub, bathrooms now resemble miniature spas. They feature oversized tubs, waterfall showers, and his-and-hers sinks, in addition to more counter space. Many bathrooms will provide soft bathrobes and beauty products to make guests feel pampered during their time away from home. The restaurants and bars in hotels have also changed. In the past, many restaurants and bars simply offered standard food and drinks and a bland atmosphere. There was nothing noteworthy about the experience and many guests simply went to the restaurant because it was conveniently located in the same building as their room. However, hotels are stepping up their game in this area, bringing in famous chefs to create a five-star restaurant experience. This ensures that the restaurant not only provides guests with a great meal, but draws in customers from outside the hotel as well.
