The complex rehab was to do physiotherapy for learning to sustain my balance and walk without using a walker. The first session includes how to learn without falling. What I do is to hold on to 2 bars on either side and start to walk on walkway. Moreover, I had to keep my balance for long time. They the physio asked me to take my hands away for a couple of seconds. Every day I tried to keep my hands away from the stabilizing bars for long. I was feeling good as to the walking exercises. Then the Perth physio took me back to the reality by including a step while walking that I had to start and then started to walk. Later on, the physio asked to me to do another step. In the meantime, the Perth physio asked me to hold things that were around 4-5 feet upside from the floor. I had to put on the shelf in a certain order. I began thinking regarding doing other stuff and discovered that the Perth physio had a jigsaw puzzle in the center of the lobby. I went down and tried to solve the puzzle. At initial stages, it was hard to focus on doing the things. They contacted me to enquire about the home as they were planning to send me home for a couple of days. There were a 2-stp entry to the home from my garage; however, there was no railing. So, my son built 2 railings for me. So, the physio took me back to my house. So, you can see how physiotherapy helped me a lot in helping me talk on my foot once again. You should also contact a Perth physio and share your concerns with him. Hope you will find this post helpful.
