Kampa Rally Air 2014 It may seem a little early to be talking about the latest releases in the world of awnings but, if 2013 is anything to go by you may want to decide long in advance. The year 2013 saw the birth of the latest air technology awnings, although they have been around for a number of years previous, it seems the public where ready for the advance, too ready. Shortly after Kampa released the Rally Air it become near impossible to get hold of one. The demand for these products clearly out weighed production capabilities. Not surprising when you consider exactly what the product offers. Why Kampa? Simply put, the unique selling point of the Kampa Rally Airs has to be the elimination of poles, to be replaced by inflatable tubes. Combine this feature with ease of use and your onto a sure winner in regards to an awning. The tubes provide a rigid support structure for the awning while making it extremely light compared to its counterpart, The Kampa Rally. The tubes inflate within seconds and you can have the awning pitched within 5 – 10 minutes. There goes the hour you spent putting the awning up before. When you think about it, it's simplicity at its best. The airframe is rather inconspicuous and incredibly strong (deceptively so). If you don't believe it, simply you have to see it. Lateral movement is very minimal when either force or wind is applied, much less than a tradition pole system. The reason behind this is the modular internal Air frame. Where you would traditionally see internal roof support poles there are horizontal airbeams. Pressure applied laterally is absorbed and spread across the awning causing the pressure to increase. What to expect from Kampa in 2014 2014 is set to bring further improvements on last years success. Firstly, the infamous step into the awning has been removed. Cue joy for all accident prone caravanners. It has been replaced by a flat peg down strap ensuring the awning is positioned correctly and easily pegged out. The inner curtains now have storage pockets when not in use and rear bumper pads have been added. New optional extras include, an organiser for the accessory track, hanging rail for the accessory track, roof lining system and an inner tent. Replacement airframe parts are available should you meet a very unlikely bad situation. And brilliantly Kampa have also announced the airframe will be include in the manufactures warranty unlike other models which only cover the material. For more information please see Kampas website. Don't wait, inquire now. If you want a Kampa Rally Air (2014) I strongly advise you contact your local dealer and enquire immediately. A lot of people last year where left disappointed due to high demand and near impossible supply. Waudbys in South Cave are set to stock the latest models but as with many dealers it's worth enquiring beforehand to get some sense of lead times and whether you can reserve. Don't miss out on this amazing move in awning technology.
