Alternative ways to Relieve Anxiety

There are several triggers of anxiety in people. Sometimes it is the stresses from work or problems at home but anxiety can get to be a real problem if not treated quickly and effectively. To achieve balance essential oils can be used as well as hypnotherapy and homeopathy. The methods outlined below are just some of the ways that people suffering from anxiety have chosen to deal with their problem and they might be helpful for you too.

1. Herbal supplements

Herbal supplements like chamomile, lemon and vervain can help with anxiety. Take a cup of chamomile tea to calm yourself or drink it as a night cap to ease into a restful sleep. Additionally, a massage with essential oil blends like doTERRA balance will also calm down the nerves and help relax. These essential oils can also be used in a diffuser or can be dropped in food or drink for the same therapeutic effects. Kava Kava has also helped people with creating a feeling of calm and easing tension in muscles. 2. Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy, in essence, is a way to prepare your mind to deal with stressful events that can trigger anxiety. 3. Homeopathy

Homeopathy bills itself as a natural way to treat anxiety. Each dose contains natural products but in very low doses that can help restore balance to the body and mind. Each treatment is customized for the particular person which means that an experience homeopath can help treat individuals with their own specific regime of treatment.

4. Meditation

Meditation is an exercise that can work wonders for those who suffer from chronic anxiety, not only will they be able to reduce the anxiety and stress they feel, they will also learn how to deal with anxiety and stress better. It calms the mind and clears it and has proven biological effects that have been studied and shown to be beneficial for the overall health of the body. Transcendental meditation, from ayurvedic medicine has been used for centuries in eastern cultures and has helped people. For meditation to work, it must be part of a daily routine and the effects of it need some time to become evident. Another great advantage of meditation is that it has no side effects at all. Meditation is also good for people who do not suffer from anxiety as it can increase concentration and give a sense of well being to absolutely everyone.

Using these alternative ways of dealing with anxiety should ideally be used as a supplement to the medication and methods that your doctor prescribes and you should always seek advice from your doctor before starting a regime.
